چکیده

A concept for the processing and archiving facility for APEX (Airborne Prism Experiment) is defined. A special emphasize is put on the level 2 processing steps which include geometric, radiometric and atmospheric correction of the image data. The presented concept combines these processing steps in a radiometrically logical manner and allows the online production of user required products. The full knowledge about the scanning geometry is used for both radiometric and atmospheric correction. Additionally, the design also foresees possiblities to produce atmospherically corrected images directly from calibrated raw data. The presented concept will allow a fast delivery of high quality data products for the various specific requirements of the APEX data users.

Calibration Concept for the Airborne Prism Experiment (apex)

The development of the Airborne PRISM Experiment (APEX) has been supported by the European Space Agency (ESA) in view of an appropriate data simulator of the future LSPIM mission. The calibration of the APEX instrument will be performed using a standardized laboratory calibration procedure, where spectral response, geometric response, as well as gain and offset values will be determined. Additi...

APEX - the Hyperspectral ESA Airborne Prism Experiment

The airborne ESA-APEX (Airborne Prism Experiment) hyperspectral mission simulator is described with its distinct specifications to provide high quality remote sensing data. The concept of an automatic calibration, performed in the Calibration Home Base (CHB) by using the Control Test Master (CTM), the In-Flight Calibration facility (IFC), quality flagging (QF) and specific processing in a dedic...

Calibration concept for potential optical aberrations of the APEX pushbroom imaging spectrometer

The high resolution airborne imaging spectrometer APEX (Airborne Prism Experiment) is currently being built. In parallel, its data processing calibration chain is being designed. The complex design of this high resolution pushbroom instrument bears the risk of optical aberrations in the registered spatio-spectral frames. Such aberrations consist of so-called frown and smile effects, as well as ...

APEX – A new Pushbroom Imaging Spectrometer for Imaging Spectroscopy Applications: Current Design and Status

Within the framework of the European Space Agency's funding scheme PRODEX, an airborne imaging spectrometer named APEX (Airborne PRISM Experiment) is developed. APEX is designed to be a pushbroom imager with 300 spectral channels in the 400 – 2500 nm wavelength region, and with 1000 pixels across track. The mission objectives of APEX are mainly being a simulator, calibrator and validation exper...

A Class-outlier Approach for Environnemental Monitoring Using Uav Hyperspectral Images

In several remote sensing applications, detecting exceptional/irregular regions (i.e, pixels) with respect to the whole dataset homogeneity is regarded as a very interested issue. Currently, this is limited to the pre-processing step aiming to eliminate the cloud or noisy pixels. In this paper, we propose to extend the coverage area and to tackle this issue by regarding the irregular/exceptiona...
